"A Breezy Little Story" is the second segment of the seventeenth episode of The Book of Pooh.

Synopsis[]

Piglet and Tigger attempt to construct a kite without the instructions on a breezy day in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Plot[]

Piglet wakes up one breezy morning to find a box in front of his house, as well as a note on it saying it is a gift from Christopher Robin. He goes to show it to Pooh, Tigger and Kessie and opens it to reveal it is a kite building kit. Tigger looks into the box and finds a piece of paper, which he throws away, unaware it was the instructions. Kessie chases after it as the wind blows it around the wood while Pooh, Piglet and Tigger attempt to build the kite themselves. First, Tigger looks for a mechanism that puts the kite together automatically, which there is none. Next, he has Piglet stands on top of Pooh with the sticks while he throws the paper at him, hoping the wind will put the kite together. However, this knocks Piglet down and causes the kite parts to break. Tigger decides to bury the broken parts in Rabbit's garden in hopes it will grow into a kite. Rabbit shows up and tells the others kites do not grow. Kessie returns after having finally retrieved the instructions, only to learn of what happened to the kit. Rabbit look at the instructions and says they can build a kite using sticks and a tablecloth in place of the parts from the kit. This proves successful, but the kite ends up being so big that, when the wind picks up, it lifts Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Rabbit high up into the sky. They continue flying as Mr. Narrator tries to end the story.
