"Are You Me?" is a story of the first segment of the second episode and the second segment of the eighteenth episode, both of the first season, of The Book of Pooh.
Synopsis[]
Pooh receives a note from someone called "Me" and tries to figure out who sent it.
Plot[]
While Pooh ponders about a problem of having no more honey, the wind blows a paper airplane through his house. He follows it to figure out where it came from. It leads him to Owl's house where Owl catches it and reveals it to be a note inviting Pooh to lunch, though it is signed, "Me." Pooh mistakenly thinks Owl is referring to himself, but Owl clears the confusion and suggests Pooh follows the note to figure out who the "me" who wrote it is. The wind blows the note away as Pooh takes Owl's advice literally. He ends up at Piglet's where the table is set for two, but Piglet says he could not have written the note due to being illiterate and that Tigger is visiting to give bouncing lessons. Piglet and Tigger nevertheless let Pooh stay, but he chooses to continue following the note as to not disappoint its writer. It takes him to Rabbit's house where Rabbit is preparing a year's supply of honeyed carrots. Rabbit tries to explain he did not write the note, but confuses Pooh as to whether he is saying "me" meaning himself or the writer of the note. In frustration, he makes Pooh leave by blowing the note away with his mouth. The wind catches it and takes it across a log bridge. Pooh grabs the note, but slips off the bridge and falls towards a ravine. Kessie catches him and flies him to her house where she reveals to be the one who wrote the note. Pooh explains what he went through and Kessie admits she could have saved him the trouble if she signed her name. At that moment, Pooh starts feeling hungry, so the two proceed to have lunch.
