"Best Wishes Winnie the Pooh" is the first segment of the first episode of the first season, of The Book of Pooh. After Pooh wishes for a pot of honey and appears to get his wish granted twice, he concludes that he is the Great Pooh-Dini and can grant wishes.
Plot[]
Tigger helps Rabbit with his spring cleaning, doing so using a lever to send Rabbit's honey pots flying away. Meanwhile, Pooh expresses in rhyme a wish for honey just as one of Rabbit's pots lands next to him. He repeats the rhyme and another pot lands by coincidence, making Pooh think he can make wishes come true when he says them in rhyme. He tells Piglet about it, who suggests Pooh shares his wishes. Pooh dresses as the Great Pooh-dini as he listens to the others' wishes. Rabbit wishes for his garden to span the entire Hundred Acre Wood, Tigger wishes to be able to bounce to and from the moon, Eeyore for a castle, and Piglet for more time with Pooh. Pooh says a rhyme for all the wishes, but nothing happens, which disappoints everyone. In song, Pooh expresses his disappointment while Piglet tells him he can do smaller things without magic to make others happy. That night, Piglet and a now cheered-up Pooh go around the wood to grant everyone's wishes in smaller ways, including pulling the weeds from Rabbit's garden, giving Tigger a telescope, and decorating Eeyore's house with flowers, which makes them all happy when they wake up the next morning. They all thank Pooh upon finding out he did everything. However, he realizes he did nothing for Piglet, but Piglet assures him just being his friend is enough.

- Rabbit: "Tigger, what on Earth are you doing?!"
- Pooh: "I wish I had a pot of honey. I really wish, I do. For if I had a pot of honey, my tummy'd have honey, too."
- Pooh: "When I rhyme, my wishes come true. Hoo hoo. How nice for me. I shall tell my very best friend, Piglet."
- Pooh: "I may not be able to grant our friends' fondest wishes, but I can still give them my very best wishes."
- Pooh: "Oh, Piglet, oh, I didn't do anything for you."
- Piglet: "Oh, yes you did, Pooh, just by being my friend."
