Darren started as the President of Technifex Animation in 1984 and did direction, animation, animation camera stand operation, production management for animated sequences in four live-action promotional films for Canada Post Corporation. He also created an eight minute short called "I Remember Sid" in 1990 before moving to Walt Disney Animation France on TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck. Worked on such productions as Superbuddies, Robotboy, Capertown Cops, The Magic School Bus, The Pink Panther series (Bardel Entertainment), The Magical Adventures Of Mumfie, D'Myna Leagues, Reboot, The Brothers Grunt, Eek The Cat, Arthur, A Bunch of Munsch, Miss Mallard Mysteries and on ads for 6/49 Lotto, and the television holiday special Christopher The Christmas Tree. Currently works as an animation instructor for Emily Carr's University of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia.
