"Eeyore's Sad Day" is the first segment of the sixth episode of My Friends Tigger & Pooh.

Synopsis[]

When Eeyore goes unseen for several days, Piglet and Rabbit become concerned about him. They and the Super Sleuths discover him moping at the top of a hill. They learn that he's especially unhappy because the autumn has come and he can no longer roll in his favorite field of dandelions. They decide to try a variety of ways to cheer him up.

Plot[]

Piglet and Rabbit sound the Sleuther Siren and send the Super Sleuths to Eeyore's house. However, when they arrive, they find Eeyore is not there. Piglet and Rabbit show up and tell the Sleuths Eeyore has been gone for several days, so they all go to search for him. Tigger brings up how he can see through Rabbit's window from his treehouse, which makes the others decide to search from the Finder Flag since that is also a high point. Darby looks through a telescope and finds Eeyore atop a hill. They head there and notice he is looking sadder than usual. He explains he went to go roll in dandelions, only to find there were none on account of summer ending. The Sleuths think about how they can cheer Eeyore up and Tigger decides on thistles, so they bring him a wheelbarrow full, but this does not work. Darby sees Buster jumping in a pile of leaves and wonders if Eeyore will cheer up if he does the same, so they all create a big leaf pile and start jumping in it. When Eeyore is still sad, Piglet suggests they perform a show, so they get a stage set up. The first act has Buster jumping through a hoop held by Darby. Next, Rabbit tries pulling Piglet out of a hat in a magic act, though he ends up pulling a carrot instead. Pooh and Tigger then tell each other jokes. However, none of the acts make Eeyore happy, which frustrates Rabbit enough that he storms off to attend to house chores. The others decide to give him time to let his anger out and realize they should treat Eeyore the same way. Later, Eeyore is atop the hill again when the Sleuths and Piglet show up and give examples of moments when they feel sad. At Eeyore's request, they sit next to him to watch the sunset, which makes him feel a little better.
