The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh[]

After being told about Heffalumps and Woozles by Tigger, Pooh becomes worried that the Heffalumps and Woozles will try to steal his honey. He stands guard over his honey pots until he falls asleep and has a dream about Heffalumps and Woozles.

In the beginning of the dream, Pooh floats out of his body and flies down to the ground as Tigger's voice tells him that Heffalumps and Woozles steal honey. He lands in a dreamy area, still asleep, when suddenly a group of singing honey pots, the same pots he fell asleep guarding, appear and warn Pooh to beware of the Heffalumps and Woozles. Pooh listens to them until, to his surprise, they just as suddenly vanish. Pooh looks around in confusion, as the invisible pots continue to sing. Suddenly, the pots reappear in front of him and begin chanting that he must beware, sacring Pooh, who runs away from the honey pots.

Pooh flees, checking behind him to see if the honey pots are following. A large green and yellow checkered Heffalump is bending over with his face to the ground ahead of Pooh. Because Pooh isn't looking where he's going, he runs right up the Heffalump's trunk and smacks into its face, landing on top of the Heffalump's trunk as it stands up quickly, launching Pooh into the air. Before Pooh can land, he is smacked away by the Heffalump, who transforms into a Woozle in the process. The Woozle's head then transforms back into a Heffalump's head, but the Woozle's body remains.

The Heffalump smiles mischievously as the scene zooms in on the Heffalump's eyes, they merge to form a blue and pink Heffalump, which then splits into two Heffalumps. The two Heffalumps exchange winks before rapidly multiplying to form a large group of Heffalumps before the scene zooms out to reveal all the Heffalumps are designs on the shirt of a fat Heffalump wearing a boater hat. The Heffalump is holding an umbrella in one hand (though it has not begun to rain yet, this suggests the Heffalump was planning ahead for the rain) and playing with a yo-yo with the other. The camera zooms out to focus entirely on the fat Heffalump as he plays with the yo-yo and the smaller Heffalumps on his shirt march in place. It is unclear where Pooh is at this point or where he may have landed after being launched by the plaid Heffalump, though later in the scene it is revealed that he was nearby watching the Heffalump.

The fat Heffalump remains focused on his yo-yo, but the marching Heffalumps suddenly vanish and he collapses, transforming into a smaller Heffalump in a red shirt (similar to Pooh's shirt) as he stands back up. His hat flies up and lands back on his head, giving him an idea. He raises his hat and transforms into a tall, thin Woozle, who waggles his eyebrows at the viewer and then transforms into a blue pot of honey, which begins to bounce. When the fat Heffalump collapses, his umbrella and yo-yo both fly out of his hands and disappear off-screen, but the hat simply flies up and lands back on the Heffalump's head, and when the Woozle transforms into a honey pot, the hat lands on the pot, acting as the pot's lid.

Pooh dashes across the screen from the left side (revealing that he had been off-screen watching as this happened) and skids to a halt in front of the bouncing honey pot. He picks it up and happily holds the pot, then notices the bouncing. A transparent Heffalump head filled with honey appears out of the pot an instant later, revealing that the bouncing was caused by the Heffalump eating the honey (while doing so, the hat, which was acting as the lid, falls off, but is reapplied to the Heffalump's head). Pooh stumbles back in surprise and collapses, pulling the Heffalump down with him.

The Heffalump takes a gulp of honey as it falls, but flinches as Pooh falls to the ground. Before Pooh can rescue his honey pot from the Heffalump, the Heffalump quickly begins sucking up the honey, as the singing pots warn Pooh that "they'll guzzle up the things you prize!" (Despite this warning, it is left ambiguous if the Heffalump is actually trying to steal from Pooh - the Heffalump was actually inside the pot as soon as the pot appeared, before Pooh even saw it, and the way the pot was bouncing at the time, and the fact that the Heffalump's head was full of honey by the time it came out of the pot suggests the Heffalump was already eating the honey before it even knew Pooh wanted it).

Pooh watches the transparent Heffalump eat. Though it began as just a head, it has grown a full body after only a few gulps, and it begins to swell rapidly as it continues to eat the honey. Pooh looks down at the honey pot (likely to see how much honey is left) as the Heffalump continues to guzzle up the contents of the pot, still growing as it goes. Pooh returns his gaze to the Heffalump, which has grown extremely round, nearly filling the screen, and is still growing as Pooh watches.

Pooh begins to check the honey pot again, but the Heffalump takes one too many gulps of honey and pops like a balloon, sending honey flying and launching Pooh into the air. Pooh tries to hold on to the pot, but the force of the exploding Heffalump propels him away too quickly, and he loses his grip, the pot and the Heffalump's hat flying off into the distance.

We see a beautiful female Heffalump and a male Woozle skip rope while demonstrating their abilities. They begin by altering their colors, then the female Heffalump transforms into a ball and the Woozle transforms into a square (the jump rope disappears). They both stand up and stare menacingly at the screen before tying themselves up. They then untie themselves and change their patterns as they pose, with the Heffalump becoming striped and the Woozle becoming polka-dotted.

As Pooh tries to hide from them, the honey pots warn him to be cautious once more. Despite their repeated warnings, Pooh actually appears far more afraid of the pots than the Heffalumps - prior to this, he was watching the fat Heffalump play yo-yo from off-screen, and while he appeared mildly worried that the transparent Heffalump would eat the entire pot of honey, Pooh overall seemed more curious about the Heffalump than frightened, at least until the Heffalump exploded, whereas Pooh actively tries to run and hide from the pots. As a result, Pooh ignores the honey pots' warnings and runs away again, but skids to a halt in surprise. Pooh has almost run into a parade of Heffalumps and Woozles, it turns out. A Woozle bandleader expands his brown nose, and the yellow mouth attached to the brown nose stretches as the nose expands until it explodes, transforming into a flute. The bandleader Woozle then marches as he plays his new flute nose.

Then, a lovely blue female Heffalump in a red hair bow and a pink tutu walks behind a walking honey pot, flapping her arms. She removes the lid from the pot, but it begins to laugh and stumble around, frighting the Heffalump enough that she slams the lid back on without eating the honey.

Three uniformed Woozles and a large Heffalump with a tuba for a trunk march behind the bandleader Woozle. The tuba Heffalump steps on the tail of one of the Woozles, knocking him over. The Woozle yelps as he falls and the Heffalump stomps on his buttocks. The Woozle tries to escape but the Heffalump stomps on his head, crushing him.

The camera cuts back to Pooh as he walks happily along, carrying a honey pot (which he most likely stole from the transparent Heffalump when he exploded). A bee-like Heffalump buzzes loudly in time with the music as she flies behind Pooh, but he doesn't notice her. She taps Pooh on the back of the head with her trunk, and when Pooh turns to look at her, she grabs the honey pot from him and flies away, buzzing. Pooh chases the bee, who teases him by repeatedly holding the pot right in front of him and then yanking it away when he grabs for it.

The Heffabee flies past a series of large blocks that spell out "HUNNEY". Pooh makes one final desperate attempt to save his honey by jumping for her, but she flies out of his reach and Pooh falls to the ground as a trio of Jack-in-the-Box Woozles pop out of the pot and laugh mockingly at Pooh. Frightened, Pooh jumps back to his feet and runs away. While the Heffabee is out of reach, he does run off in the same direction as her, so it can be assumed he is still hoping to recover his honey.

As the Heffabee flies, happily holding the honey pot with her trunk (though you can't hear her buzzing for once), a spotlight appears and focuses on a spot on the ground. Following the spotlight, the Heffabee dives to the ground, which transforms into a lake of honey as she splashes into it and disappears.

Two Heffalumps emerge from the honey, a beautiful short female with a red hairbow and a lavender tutu, and a handsome tall male with a tuxedo outfit and a top hat. They look at each other, honey-covered, and the female Heffalump bats her eyelashes at the male as the honey wears off, they fall in love with each other, and they begin to dance with each other on the spotlight appears and focuses on them, while another beautiful female pink Heffalump wearing a necklace and a light blue hair bow plays a harp made of honey on her tummy and a Woozle rope-charmer with a turban plays a flute and makes a rope come out of a large honey pot.

Pooh emerges from the pot and begins climbing the rope. When Pooh reaches the top of the rope, he and the Woozle both notice each other, and Pooh leans over to look at the Woozle's flute, but the Woozle starts blowing the flute in Pooh's face. Pooh appears to realize what the Woozle is about to do as he blows the flute at him a second time and attempts to back away, but the Woozle blows the flute a third time and causes him to vanish into a puff of sparks. The scene shifts to a pair of young male Heffalumps with yellow eyes (possibly twins) wearing collars and playing accordions with their trunks.

In the sky above the honey lake, storm clouds have begun to gather (meaning the fat Heffalump had been correct to bring an umbrella). When a small flying Heffalump sees Pooh walking by with a red honey pot, he laughs and dives at him, but instead smashes into the ground behind him and transforms into a larger Heffalump with a popgun for a nose. The Heffalump marches behind Pooh, who either ignores him or didn't notice him, then crouches down, shakes his buttocks in the air, and sucks in his trunk as he takes aim. Then he uses his popgun to shoot Pooh in the buttocks, hoping to make Pooh drop the honey pot.

Pooh takes to the skies. The lid flies off the pot, but Pooh grips the pot tightly, flipping forward and getting the honey pot stuck on his head while flying. He bounces off the ground and continues forward until he crashes into the trunk of another Heffalump, this time a blue one with a dynamite stick on his head. Pooh's collision with the Heffalump's trunk causes him to flinch and close his eyes as he skids backward. Pooh's butt is too large to fit, and he becomes trapped in the Heffalump's trunk, with only his butt and legs protruding. The Heffalump soldier is not seen again after this, suggesting he gave up on stealing the honey when he saw Pooh get stuck in the other Heffalump's trunk.

The Heffalump looks at Pooh, surprised, as he kicks wildly in an attempt to escape. However, the popgun Heffalump was not the only one who had seen the honey pot Pooh was holding - as Pooh flew into the blue Heffalump's trunk, a Woozle wearing a military outfit saw the pot stuck on Pooh's head as well. Seeing an opportunity to steal the honey, the Woozle marches over from behind the Heffalump and pulls out a large matchstick. The Woozle (whose eyes have been closed since he appeared, and are still closed) marches in place as he spins his matchstick around, banging it on the ground and then twirling it until the Heffalump notices him.

As soon as the Heffalump notices the match, the Woozle quickly steps forward and places it on the end of the Heffalump's trunk. Still marching in place, he swiftly slides the match down the Heffalump's truck and into the Heffalump's face, igniting it. The Heffalump shuts his eyes to protect himself from the fire, then opens them and looks up at the dynamite on his head, realizing what the Woozle is about to do. Before the Heffalump can react, the Woozle lights the dynamite's fuse, which quicks burns up. As the Woozle tosses the burning match aside, the Heffalump squeezes his eyes shut tight, bracing himself for the explosion.

With a pleased smile, the Woozle opens his eyes for the first time and leans in to check the fuse of the dynamite, only to discover that the fuse has already completely burned away. In a panic, the Woozle turns and runs away as fast as he can, screaming (though there is no sound other than the music of the parade). After this, no other Woozles are seen.

As the Heffalump tries to brace himself for the dynamite, Pooh continues kicking wildly in an attempt to dislodge himself from the Heffalump's trunk, but the dynamite explodes, obliterating the Heffalump. Pooh collapses to the ground, his head still stuck inside the honey pot.

Pooh tries to remove the pot from his head, but it covers him in honey as it transforms into a large red Heffalump in the shape of a hot air balloon. The honey transforms into the balloon's basket and carries Pooh away, despite his futile attempts to grasp the ground. The balloon lifts Pooh into the sky, where he is joined by several other Heffalump balloons.

All the balloons have empty honey pots attached to them in place of baskets (including Pooh's balloon), except for a green Heffalump balloon right next to Pooh's balloon. As Pooh watches, the balloon notices that its pot is full of honey, smiles in delight, and begins to eat the honey.

As the green balloon happily eats the honey, Pooh climbs up onto the rim of his balloon's basket, grabs onto his balloon's strings, and leans off the side of the basket, trying to grab the honey pot away from the green balloon (ironically, while Pooh's nightmare was caused by his fear that the Heffalumps would attempt to steal his honey, in this case the balloon is likely the rightful owner of the honey, since the pot is attached to the balloon). Luckily for the other balloon - whose eyes are closed in happiness, meaning that he can't see Pooh's attempts to steal his honey - Pooh's arms are too short to reach the pot, which continues to bob up and down in the air as the Heffalump sucks up its meal.

Desperate to get to the honey, Pooh lets go of his balloon's strings and jumps off the rim of the basket, grabbing for the green balloon's honey pot. He barely makes it, managing to grab onto the pot and hang from the side. His added weight pulls the pot down, yanking it out of the Heffalump's trunk and preventing the Heffalump from reaching it.

The storm the yo-yo Heffalump had brought his umbrella for finally arrives. Thunder and lightning flash as the green Heffalump balloon futilely tries to reach down to its honey pot, but Pooh's weight keeps it just out of reach. Lightning flashes again as Pooh hears the voices of the singing pots again, warning him once more that the Heffalumps and Woozles are everywhere. As Pooh looks down and around at all the Heffalumps and Woozles, the balloon whose honey pot Pooh is holding onto begins to swing wildly back and forth, frantically attempting to shake Pooh off and recover its stolen honey. But right as it seems Pooh is about to lose his grip on the pot, the balloon shrinks and vanishes in a flash of light. Pooh is suddenly left all alone in the sky as even the honey pot he was holding onto disappears.

Before Pooh can react, the balloon is replaced by a watering can Heffalump. Pooh tries to grab onto the Heffalump's trunk to avoid falling, but the Heffalump douses him with water.

As Pooh falls from the sky, the yo-yo Heffalump's umbrella, which had been launched into the sky when the Heffalump turned into a honey pot, suddenly appears next to him. He grabs it and floats down, until he lands back in his body and wakes up from his dream to discover that his house has flooded (in one version of the Disneyland ride, he instead wakes up to find that he has climbed a honey tree in his sleep, and begins to eat the honey, commenting, "What a wonderful dream!").

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh[]

In the New Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh episode 'No Camp Like Home', Piglet dreams he is being chased by a group of Heffalumps and Woozles. He runs from them but runs into another group of Heffalumps and Woozles, all of which resemble his friends. Both groups of Heffalumps and Woozles tackle Piglet, then begin to inflate before they all explode, revealing Piglet to be trapped inside a Heffalump jailer with a cage as a stomach. Piglet shakes the bars trying to escape, only to awaken and discover he is shaking the bars of his bed.

Piglet's Big Game[]

In Piglet's Big Game, Piglet enters the dreams of his friends, where he finds Heffalumps and Woozles causing trouble. He scares the Heffalumps and Woozles by making scary faces at them. When scared, they transform into a sort of potion which Piglet then collects, allowing him to venture farther into the dream.

A number of different Heffalumps and Woozles appear in the dreams. Along with normal-looking Heffalumps and Woozles, Piglet also encounters Heffabees, Tuba Heffalumps, and Woozles dressed as vampires, along with many other types.
