Synopsis[]

Lumpy is spending the night at Roo's, but he's having trouble getting to sleep. When Roo calls the Super Sleuths for help, they realize that familiar things may help him get to sleep. They try a variety of things, but find the problem so challenging that they're almost ready to give up.

Plot[]

As Pooh, Tigger, Darby, Buster, Roo and Lumpy are playing soccer one evening, Kanga calls Roo and Lumpy in for dinner. Lumpy explains to the others he is sleeping over at Roo's that night before following Roo to his house. That night, the Sleuther Siren goes off and the finder flag leads the Super Sleuths to Roo's house where Roo tells them Lumpy is having sleep trouble possibly due to homesickness. They check on Lumpy, who confirms he is homesick. Darby recalls a time she spend a night without Buster at her grandparents' and got over her homesickness using a stuffed monkey named Billy Boo. Lumpy asks the Sleuths for his stuffed alligator named Alvin, which is in a big bag being kept outside due to its size. Tigger digs inside and eventually finds Alvin, but Lumpy asks to be read his favorite book. After Darby finishes reading, Lumpy remembers his nightlight, so Tigger searches the bag again and finds an owl-shaped nightlight. However, Lumpy still misses his home and asks to be sung a lullaby, so Darby sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." Lumpy teaches her a version with different lyrics his mom sings, which Darby sings back, but this makes Lumpy even more homesick. He reluctantly decides to return home, but Darby has one more idea. The Sleuths head to Lumpy's home where Mama Heffalump gives them a picture of the two heffalumps and a note expressing her love for her son, which they bring back to Lumpy. They make Lumpy feel better enough to get to sleep, so the Sleuths head home to get some sleep themselves.

During the credits, Darby asks the viewers to recall the three items Tigger took out of Lumpy's bag to help him fall asleep.
