"Rabbit's Happy Birthday Party" is the second segment of the second episode of the first season of The Book of Pooh.
Synopsis[]
Pooh and Piglet and Christopher Robin prepare for Rabbit's birthday party but get lost on the way to his house and end up in Scary Woods.
Plot[]
Piglet finds a letter in his mailbox. When Pooh comes by and sees it, he points out how it looks similar to one he received and they conclude a gathering is happening. Tigger shows up with another similar letter and reveals they are invitations to Rabbit's birthday party. Piglet decide he and Pooh should give Rabbit a present, thinking he would otherwise be angry. They check Piglet's closet and settle on some balloons, a ball of string, and a bag of planting seeds, but they get lost on their way to Rabbit's house. They find a trail of seeds and decide to follow it, but most of it had been eaten by Kessie. She mentioned they are planting seeds, making Piglet worry as he realizes they were the seeds for Rabbit. Meanwhile, Rabbit is feeling upset about Pooh and Piglet's absence and even worries they might have forgotten to come. As Pooh and Piglet continue, they end up at the Scary Woods where Pooh explains in song how he solves his problem by thinking. He sees a beehive and thinks they can find their way more easily from a bee's perspective. He suggests they use the balloons to lift themselves up, which Piglet disagrees with due to them being a present for Rabbit, but Pooh says they can deflate them afterwards. The balloons lift them out of the book, but a bee follows and pops the balloons. However, the wind turns a few pages and they land right at Rabbit's party just as the others were about to search for them. The others were relieved to see Pooh and Piglet, who explain to Rabbit what happened to the presents they intended to give. He reveals to not be angry, but rather glad they were okay and they all proceed to start the party.
